In this tutorial, we will discuss how you can leverage our proprietary AI Numbers service to increase the likelihood of your outbound calls being answered. AI Numbers will determine the best telephone number to use when making an outbound call. This automation to maximize contact rates, is all based on artificial intelligence.

We will now demonstrate how you can quickly and conveniently activate AI Numbers in real time, by logging in to your Smart Carrier account, and selecting the AI services you wish to use.

Begin by logging in to your Smart Carrier account at app.smartcarrier.io as shown.



Next, under the Services menu, select AI Numbers and AI Health as shown.


To activate AI Numbers, simply click the toggle bar from the Enable AI Numbers and AI Health option, as shown.


Please note, the toggle bar will turn the color blue when enabled. Otherwise, the service is not active. 


After activating the AI Numbers service, a new menu will appear below, as shown.


Here, you have two options, Advanced Geoproximation and Bring Your Own Telephone Numbers. 


Advanced Geoproximation uses approximation techniques, such as geospatial algorithms, to represent and model geographic data to generate a rough approximation of the best type of number to use to contact a given subscriber.


If you wish to enable Advanced Geoproximation, you can do so in real time by selecting the yes button from the Advanced Geoproximation menu, as shown. 


Please note, this option is set to “No” and not active by default. If you do not wish to enable Enhanced Geoproximation, you can simply leave the option at ‘No.’’


The Bring Your Own Telephone Numbers option will only use telephone numbers you upload. No numbers from Smart Carrier will be used. If you wish to enable this option, select the yes button from the Bring Your Own Telephone Numbers menu, and a new Menu, Upload a File for AI Numbers will appear as shown.


Here you can Upload the file of your phone numbers that you wish to use for the AI Numbers service.


If you are not sure what format to use in order to upload your phone numbers, click the ‘here’ option, as shown, and the csv template will automatically download as shown.



Please note, several phone number formats can be used, as shown.


Once the template has been downloaded to your computer, simply open the file, and add your phone numbers to the telephone numbers column, as shown.


Once you have entered your phone numbers in the Telephone Numbers column, and saved the file, you can now upload the file by clicking browse, selecting the file, and selecting Save, as shown.

When your phone numbers have been successfully uploaded, you will receive a message that your file has been uploaded successfully, as shown.

Please note, if you have not selected the appropriate csv file, you can start over by clicking the clear button, as shown.


Next, you will have the option to choose how many times your phone number will be used.

In this example, we will set the ‘How many times would you like to use your telephone number’ option to 3, as shown.

AI Dialing will now use your phone numbers for outbound calls 3 times. You can also adjust whether or not AI Dialing will be used for your phone numbers in real time by navigating to the Uploaded Phone Numbers page of the Telephone Numbers menu as shown. 


Please note, that if you have not selected the appropriate csv file to upload, you can click the clear button, as shown.




From the Uploaded Telephone Numbers menu, you can toggle AI Dialing on and off in real time by selecting the AI Dialing button next to the phone number you have just added. 

For example, if I would like to disable 2 of your phone numbers from your uploaded phone numbers, in this case 205-555-1120 and 205-555-1118, you can do so by selecting the AI Dialing button next to each phone number, as shown.




Please note, if the AI Dialing button is green, the service is active. Otherwise, AI Dialing is not active for the specified phone number.

If you wish to deactivate AI Numbers all together, navigate to AI Numbers and AI Health from the services menu, toggle the Enable AI Health button, and the button color will turn gray, as shown.
